Gabion Cage
The Gabion cages strength comes from a double twisted hexagonal mesh of steel wire which is reinforced by selvedges of heavier gauge wire running along the edges and by transverse internal diaphragms at 1m centres. In the event of accidental breakage of one or more of the wires, the double twisted wire configuration will ensure that the mesh will not unravel.
The woven wire mesh can either be Galmac (95% Zinc 5% Aluminium Mischmetal Alloy) coated mild steel or Galmac coated with an additional PVC coating if required. Galmac has significantly improved corrosion resistance to zinc in both chemical and physical terms. This technology when applied to steel wire products provides up to about three times greater protection per unit coating mass, than do zinc coatings.
Material:
The major materials of gabion cage are high quality low carbon steel wire, hot-dip galvanized wire, electro galvanized wire and PVC coated wire.
Features:
Economic. Just fill the stone into the gabions and seal it.
Simple installation. No special technology needed.
Sludge in the stones is good for plant growing. Mixed to form a integrity with the natural environment.
Good permeation can prevent the damage by hydrostatic.
Less transport freight. It can be folded together for transport and further installation.
Applications:
Control and guide of water or flood
Flood bank or guiding bank
Preventing of rock breaking
Bridge Protection
Water and soil protection
Coast protection
Seaport engineering
Strengthening structure of soil
Protection of road
